And the first Class of the Week for Black Ops is online!
The standard assault rifle in Black Ops is the M16. It’s not as powerful as it was in MW2, but you’d have to use it before you unlock anything else. The weapon that’s feels a lot better than the M16, is the FAMAS (amongst others). This time, contrary to MW2, it’s full-auto. Here’s a class based on the FAMAS (you unlock it at level 14, so if you haven’t unlocked it yet, you’ll do so quickly)!
- Primary: FAMAS
- Secondary: Launcher
- Lethal: Frag
- Tactical: Decoy
- Equipment: Claymore
- Blue perk: Ghost
- Red perk: Sleight of Hand
- Green perk: Marathon
I thought I’d make it a flexible class, since this is the first Black Ops class of the week. It’s a bit stealthy (suited for flanking), since that’s a good starting point for learning the maps better. The FAMAS is a nice assault rifle, this time full auto. As for the attachments, it’s down to taste really. I’ve used this class with silencer, grenade launcher and red dot sight (not at the same time of course). It depends what your goals are.
Secondary is a launcher. Since the game is new, there’s a lot of people using the Spy Plane. Shoot them down to give yourself and your team the advantage. The lethal slot contains the good old frag. It seems like it’s more powerful than in MW2, or at least in comparison to the semtex. I’m getting killed quite a lot by these regular frags, they do work very well. Tactical is the Decoy, which is extremely nice! It projects gun sounds and shows up on enemy radar as random gunfire in that area. Great for diversion and flanking! Equipment is a claymore, to cover your back.
Perks are Ghost (read here how to get Ghost Pro [which is way better]) to remain under the radar. Second perk is Sleight of Hand for those moments that you need to reload and need to do so fast. Third perk should be Ninja, but it seems footsteps are inaudible as is (should be fixed soon), so you might want to use something like Marathon, so that you can flank a little faster.
Playing with this class
As I mentioned, this is an excellent class for flanking. The silencer makes your damage at range reduced, but it still is effective. With a class like these, it’s important to not confront the enemy directly, especially not in close quarters. You’re vulnerable to SMG’s and other close range weapons. Try to keep at least a reasonable distance and preferably attack from behind. Works best on medium to large maps. On a map like Nuketown, you’d be better off using a non-stealth/flanking approach. Play with medium aggression, you’ve got to keep moving to prevent being discovered. Enjoy!
Make a new website for Black Ops. Seriously, do it. Its confusing between mw2 and black ops. That way the tabs for each of them work properly.

Working on a website for most recent multi-platform shooters, FPS Tactics. So you will find the Black Ops section at blackops.fpstactics.net of bo.fpstactics.net when it’s done
I’ll keep you posted!

Nope, I’m not that much of an LMG-guy. But by the looks of it, that thing must be pretty darn good. It seems to have the quickest kill, so I’m going to try it out asap!
