Here’s a guest-class for Modern Warfare 2 by xXStEeZyxScOpEsXx (not quite sure that’s his (her?) real name) featuring the Intervention sniper rifle.
Primary: Intervention + FMJ
Secondary: M93 Rafficas + Akimbo
Equipment: Throwing knife or claymore
Special grenade: Stun
Perk 1: Sleight of hand (Pro)
Perk 2: Stopping Power (Pro)
Perk 3: Steady Aim (Pro)
Use it like a quickscoping (shooting while you’re not fully aimed down sight) class or just a good hard-scoping (fully aimed down sight) class. Use your Rafficas when you’re in a close quarters or when you need a faster weapon.
MW2 Tactics comment: There’s not a long explanation for this class, but it doesn’t need that a lot. Might I add that Stopping Power can be useful: most of the time, the Intervention is a one shot kill. But not so much when you shoot someone in the stomach (damage to the stomach is 77). Stopping Power multiplies damage by 1.4 so that would make a shot to the stomach a one hit kill (77 * 1.4 = 108). The Intervention has great feel when shooting, which probably explains why it’s used so much.
This is basically how my sniper class is set up, except I am terrible at quickscoping so I prefer to use the Barrett and fire off a few quick shots if necessary. I also prefer a silenced Raffica because I am far more accurate with one rather than using akimbo. But I do seem do get killed by Interventions more than any other rifle, so more power to you intervention users out there!

Barrett is awesome

or you could use akimbo-models so the steady aim would help your hardscoping AND your secondaries

Models are for noobs. They got it right. POWER TO THE SCOPERS!
(Personally, I’m a noscoper, so I either would have had EX Mag or FMJ, Scavvie, or Bling.)

Barret=Noob and overpowered, learn to QS or just use the Intervention.
M93 Raffica=Even more noob and overpowered. Seriously, that thing is too easy to get kills with. Oh wait, you guys only think about KDR and not about having fun! Sorry my fault…
Comment by You guys are noobs — April 9, 2011 @ 1:08 pm
I both agree and disagree with noobs because almost everyone knows that the intervention is an accurate and Deadly rifle in the eyes of most people and that some but not all people should be devoted to using it. If there is a gun that a person does well with, They should OBVIOUSLY use that gun. Second of all, there is absolutely nothing wrong with hardscoping and using any other gun besides the intervention. Hell if i were to use the intervention, I would use a silencer, my scope, and play in hardcore so there is absolutely no way to quickscope. When people complain about me “not quickscoping”, I tell them to go join the army and try running out into the midst of battle and get their asses shot all to hell because they were trying to “quickscope” with a 22 pound gun anyway. After I’d told them to die I laugh at what they all have to say, which most of the time is absolutely nothing!!! To the people that hardscope, I wish you the best of luck and to keep up the awesome work.

dude quickscoping is shooting right after u aimed down the sight so that u already SCOPE when u shoot if u shoot before u fully scoped in its as accurate as a noscope and its called halfscope

the class is perfect but maybe for the secondary a deagle or m9 with tactical knife thats just me any ways
Comment by OpTic Predator — May 7, 2011 @ 5:27 am
Steady aim noobs. btw A handgun as a secondary is way better because if you miss a quickscope you can quickly pull out your m9 or usp45. for the people out there who do like too use machine pistols i would recommend the g18 akimbo. hardscoping is not really a bad thing becuase they thats the reason why they have a scope on the gun. but if you camp in the back of they map with thermal and claymores then you should break your gaming and kill youself.

Lol Viperz I do hope you know that the OpTic Predator you see on here is just really the same ol’ everyday OpTic Fanboy no disrespect to the site owner but i don’t think that the real OpTic Predator would waste his time on this site Trying to figure out what a good class for him is when he does commentaries on some of the most popular videos on youtube Nuff said

People talk to much smack about hard scoping. BUT all you quick scopers out there listen to this….You join the army as a sniper….your on a classified mission watching a target that has nukes that they plan to use on us….and you try to quick scope him. You just blew the mission. POWER TO HARD SCOPING!!
Comment by Jake A. — November 30, 2011 @ 7:16 pm
I don’t get it why hardscoping “ruins the game”. To me, it makes it even better, because it stops people from running like hell around the map and shooting with g18 akimbo. Quickscopers are the real annoyance. I don’t have anything against them(I even have some respect), because it DOES require skill, but that’s just ridiculous… it’s a sniper, not a shotgun. -_-
PS.: I’m not a “mad hardscoper”. I can’t even aim properly
